It’s your last chance to see actor Yul Brynner’s collection of celebrity photographs at Chelsea’s Little Black Gallery. Brynner, famous for films such as The King and I, had a passion for photography and took over 8,000 photos before he died in 1985. His daughter Victoria, who curated the exhibition at this boutique photography gallery, describes his passion for photography as a sign that he ‘secretly wanted to be a director’. This skill for composition is certainly manifested in every one of his images.
From shots of his co-stars on set during filming, to candid photographs of close friends Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor, Brynner’s collection of images offer a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes of Hollywood.
The exhibition closes on 11th February.
