Gielly Green is a jewel in the crown of hair salons, with beautiful elegant décor complete with exquisite sparkling modern chandeliers, crushed purple velvet chesterfield in the waiting area, black lacquered furniture, and the largest couches at the washbasins you may ever experience
I was gracefully escorted to the hair stations to meet Shahar, who commenced a discussion about styles suitable for my hair. I had brought along some photographs and a magazine. Shahar was honest that my hair was already in a style similar to the photographs, so I proceeded to show him the hairstyle magazine featuring a style with complex layers that I had requested many other salons to recreate, with no success so far. He quickly informed me that there are some very short layers at the back, and that was the only aspect he would not recommend, but that he could recreate the style without the very short layer at the back.
I was then taken to the washbasin area, which is extremely spacious, and positioned myself on a very large wash couch ready for my shampoo, conditioner and scalp massage. It took a concerted effort to peel myself from the couch following such. I then returned to the hair station for Shahar to expertly recreate the style that I have loved so much since discovering the magazine in 2008. I also have a particular way I like to have my fringe cut, which involves creating one fine layer underneath, and one graduated layer over the top. Shahar created the most beautiful fringe to frame my face perfectly. My hair has body, movement and is almost identical to the style in the magazine that I had been attempting to recreate for the past four years. Shahar is the hairdresser everyone dreams of, one that is able to listen attentively to your wishes, whilst being transparently honest about what will work. He ensures that you leave with a style that you really desire. He shared which products will work great for my hair type. It was refreshing to meet such a skilful hairdresser who recreates complex layered hairstyles with ease and exact precision. I also recommend the Gielly Green products, which are both luxurious and very natural. The condition of my hair since using Gielly Green shampoo has been silky and extremely healthy. I will definitely be returning to Gielly Green salon!
