In honour of the Queen’s 60-year reign, Fortnum and Mason has opened the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon. Formerly known as the St. James’s Restaurant, it can be found on the fourth floor of the Piccadilly store.
The elegant Georgian surroundings are reflected in Fortnum and Mason’s origins from the 1700 and this exquisite place makes drinking tea a year-round celebration.
Since the opening of the Far East to Western trade, Fortnum and Mason have sourced and refined their numerous teas to perfection and, as a result, their name has been associated with the world of tea for over three centuries.
Fortnum’s expert tea-ristas are on hand to make recommendations from an expansive list of over 150 teas on offer including single estate teas, rare teas, blends or tisanes.
Tea will arrive at each table with timers that will ring once your pot has reached its optimum brewing time.
Fortnum and Mason’s tea experience is a lovely treat for those passionate about all things tea.
