Celebrating its 21 st anniversary this October, Le Festival aux Quat’Saisons, Raymond Blanc’s annual music festival, promises to be a magical trio of evenings. Held on the 4, 5 and 6 th October 2012 in the beautiful 12 th century St Mary’s Church, guests will be mesmerised by the outstanding talent of:
Katherine Jenkins – Thursday 4 October
Fresh from her stint in Hollywood on Dancing With The Stars , Katherine is an internationally recognised figure and she has become an ambassador and inspiration for millions of people around the world. She is a classical-pop singer who performs across a spectrum of operatic arias, pop songs, musical theatre and hymns. She has performed with Domingo, had lunch with the Queen and has sold in excess of seven million albums.
Russell Watson – Friday 5 October
Russell is a well known and much loved English tenor who has released singles and albums of both operatic-style and pop songs. Watson has sung for the President of the United States, the King of Malaysia, the Prime Minister and the late Pope John Paul II who requested a private audience with Russell at the Vatican. Russell underwent emergency surgery in 2007 and has been through a long journey to get back to his very best. This year Russell is celebrating his 12 th anniversary as a recording artist and has a new album called Anthems .
Elaine Paige – Saturday 6 October
Elaine Paige is a world famous British singer and actress best known for her work in musical theatre. In addition to being nominated for five Laurence Olivier Awards, she has won many other awards for her theatre roles and is referred to as the First Lady of British Musical Theatre. She has recorded 21 solo albums, of which eight were consecutively certified gold and another four multi-platinum. Elaine continues to present a show on BBC Radio 2, Elaine Paige on Sunday , attracting 2 million listeners.
Each evening commences with a sparkling Champagne Laurent-Perrier reception at the two Michelin-starred Le Manoir followed by a torch lit promenade to the neighbouring St Mary’s Church to enjoy the performance. Afterwards, guests can indulge in a five-course feast specially created by Raymond Blanc and Gary Jones and complemented by a selection of wines from Le Manoir’s extensive wine cellars.
Tickets cost £400 per person for guests staying at Le Manoir and £450 per person for non-residential guests. Dress is black tie.
