Here is something to add to your Valentine’s day that extra bit of glamour and passion: a small, mischievously secret affair called “Cupboard Love” .
It is exactly what it sounds – a hidden, cosy and filled with candlelight restaurant near Spitalfields, with the only entrance disguised at the back of a quiet clothes shop.
You can feeli like being on a secret mission, when entering yo shop with your date or friends you give a knowing glance to the proprietor while gliding confidently towards the hidden staircase at the back.
Having been warmly welcomed with a “Grey Goose Love Fizz” cocktail by your hosts for the evening, The Disappearing Dining Club, you’ll be seated at one of several tables, each a different size, where your party will share the company of the other guests.
The menu: white bean and truffle soup; octopus salad with celery; pomme granate and rustic croutons; slow roast pork belly with chorizo and anchovy pomme boulangere; white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake with champagne and raspberry jelly; cheese with St. John’s Bread & Chutney.
And a post-dinner nightcap.
Spaces for dinner (£45/head) are extremely limited: if you’d like to attend then please either email info@semperey.com or call 07507754318
