Vana Spa’s design and treatment philosophy is inspired by the mythical legends of Thai culture, with a design that evokes the mystical Himavanta (pronounced “himmappan”) Forest. Guests can choose from a variety of Vana Spa’s signature rituals, which draw from the “kinnaris” and “kinnon-nuas,” beautiful mystical creatures that symbolise gracefulness, peace and serenity. The customised rituals can be enjoyed individually, or with a partner in one of the couples treatment rooms. Treatments include Manorah’s Radiant Glow Ritual £225 (THB 10,000) an indulgent three-hour head-to-toe experience starting with a foot ritual and a luxurious gold body scrub. This is followed by a soothing Swedish massage and finished with a re-balancing mask using micronised marine algae and refreshments.
Vana Spa offers a variety of massage therapies that combine the best practices of both Thai traditions and western methods combined with natural essential oils, herbs and spices. A favourite is The Four Hands Massage £100/124(THB 4,500/5,500), a 60 or 90-minute experience performed by two therapists in unison using a blend of Swedish, Shiatsu, Thai and Reflexology rituals. The deep rhythmic movements completely renew the body and spirit.
Vana Spa’s body treatments employ natural ingredients from the sea and land that are inspired by the heroines of Thai mythology. Signature body treatments include the Apricot Seed Body Scrub £67 (THB 3,000), a 45-minute experience that renourishes dehydrated skin with apricot seed and honey meal; and the Mineral Clay Body Treatment £85 (THB 3,800) is a 60-minute detoxifying and tension releasing treatment that starts with a smoothing salt scrub exfoliation, followed by a mineral-rich black clay body mask infused with lavender and rosemary.
