Trampin Disguise, is an emerging women’s wear brand known for its colourful prints and contemporary knitwear pieces. The label offers dazzling collections that are fun, youthful, modern and edgy and is becoming a firm favourite with celebrities and press.
TheSS13 collection ‘Lost City’ is inspired by Atlantis, the legendary island which is presumed to
have sunk into the ocean in a single day.
According to Plato, the city of Atlantis was known for its naval power which conquered many parts of Western Europe and Africa and according to myth was ruled by Poseidon, the God of the sea, earthquakes and horses. The theme is reflected in the collection in the vibrant and bold pattern work, that’s sparked by the infusion of underwater creatures, priestesses, archaeological Greek art and Greek fashion.
The collection carries an ocean-based likeness, conveying connotations of the beautiful salt water nymph Salacia in the distinctive colour palette of blue, sensitive light greys and dynamic greens, all silhouetted by black outlines to create shape and structure.
The collection of dresses, jumpsuit and separates including jackets, skirts and tops feature a combination of both structured and draped designs in an array of fabrics: silk, chiffon, silk satin, silk spandex satin, silk and cotton mixed satin, satin chiffon, silk crepe de chine, silk sandwashed habutai, foiled leather and knitwear made of milk fibre.
Tramp in Disguise was established in 2010 by Finnish born designer Sini Moilanen, who achieved
her B.A. (hons) at the University of Brighton in fashion textile design and her M.A. degree at the Royal College of Art in fashion design, specializing in knitwear design. Whilst a qualified master in Knitwear from RCA, Sini has taught herself print design and her unique prints are now the signature handwriting in all collections.
Tramp in Disguise will be presenting the SS13 collection in London and Paris during Fashion Weeks and
will also be taking part in Vancouver Fashion Week for the first time with a solo catwalk show.
