Devon is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful, relaxing and inspiring parts of the country. Whether it’s a family weekend, a romantic hideaway for two or a much needed quiet holiday, Devon has something to please all.
While you are there, it’s worth to have a good look around to stay in a place, which will add some additional charm to your holiday. If you are traditional comfort and luxury, you will be delighted to discover The Cary Arms – a restored Inn, located on the beach in Babbacombe Devon. A boutique style hotel complete with a Yon-Ka spa room, The Cary Arms exudes the charm and characteristics of an English pub, but the sophistication and luxury of a hotel, all set within Babbacombe Bay.
All eight rooms provide guests with luxury accommodation and a terrace balcony with magnificent views. Sea facing, en-suite rooms with a fresh and light barefoot beach ambience, decked with Italian bed linen and bespoke fabrics. A turndown service is offered every evening.
Besides the rooms, there are a further four cottages, perfect for families, or a group of friends. The theme from the Inn has been carried through to reflect fresh, chic and contemporary seaside living. Impressive sitting rooms boast fabulous sea views and the well-equipped bathrooms come complete with spa goodies. All cottages have fitted kitchen areas.
The Cary Arms is a place for all seasons. Blustery and wild, but surprisingly sunny and warm – all the elements that hark back to a real English seaside fun. The food is that of a high-quality seaside gastro-pub. Daily changing menus reflect coast and country in equal measure. Expect superb Devon beef, Lyme Bay lobster and line caught seafood, complemented by real ales to rival the finest hotels in the country.
Hearty breakfasts, long lunches and lazy suppers. And with an outdoor fireplace and pizza oven, a warming aroma welcomes guests – a real romantic spot to enjoy sundowners and sausages. Perfect to kick-start a relaxing weekend of luxuries and simple pleasures.

Portland Bill, fifty miles away, is visible on clear days. A crackling log fire and the lure of a proper pint makes it feel special and secluded here.
With plenty of coastal character and echoes of New England, international designer Kathleen Fraser has captured the flavour of effortless seaside living. Traditional striped ticking whispers memories of days by the seashore and elegant furniture, spacious bathrooms give a taste of the detail and comfort you can expect.
The young are welcomed with their very own Cary Arms fishing net and bait, for days to be spent hitting the rock pools and surrounding waters. If guests are arriving by boat, they can offer overnight mooring. A water taxi is available to collect guests and bring them ashore.
With the warmer weather on its way, thoughts are beginning to turn to short breaks. Dog lovers who are looking for a weekend away where they can take their dogs should consider the Cary Arms “Doggy Getaway” package – designed especially for top dogs in mind!
