To celebrate the coming of Christmas, Sloane Street, one of London’s best addresses, is to launch Quintessentially British Christmas Shopping, a campaign that will see the world’s finest luxury brands come together to bring a touch of British tradition back to the festive season.
On three Thursdays during December 2012: 6th, 13th and 20th, Cadogan Estates will be adding to the elegance of Sloane Street with a host of traditionally uniformed British butlers. Lining either side of the street between Basil and Pont Streets, the butlers will be on hand to open car doors, guide visitors into stores and provide information about Sloane Street’s luxury retailers. In full uniform and holding umbrellas, the butlers will act as beautifully dressed beacons on wintry evenings, welcoming all Christmas shoppers to the street.
Cadogan Estates has partnered with British institutions HR Owen and Maybourne Hotel Group. HR Owen will be providing a fleet of chauffeur-‐driven Rolls Royce cars, which will collect guests from Maybourne Hotel Group’s Berkeley hotel and drive them to Sloane Street.
This service will be available by appointment only to guests of the Berkeley during December, and will allow hotel guests to enjoy the exceptional shopping on Sloane Street while their chauffer waits to drive them and their purchases back to the Berkeley.
To mark the launch of Quintessentially British Christmas Shopping, Cadogan Estates has commissioned leading fashion illustrator David Downton to produce a beautiful image that perfectly encapsulates the discreet and luxuriously festive atmosphere of Sloane Street. (Pictured above).
