Lee Miller’s latest collection of Women’s S/S 13 Luxury Lounge Wear, Luggage and Accessories was celebrated at the latest London Fashion Week in the sophisticated surroundings of The University Women’s Club, Mayfair.
The collection, featuring ultra-modern leisure wear and accessories, is titled ‘Dr.Robert’ by Lee Miller. The inspiration for its theme comes from the famous ‘Ciao Manhattan’ – an American avant-garde film from 1972, starring one of Andy Warhol’s superstars Edie Sedgwick. The ‘Dr.Robert’ collection is classic and sleek, created for a woman with style and confidence. Luxurious pieces clutches of different shapes in strong, vibrant colours, were given a new dimension through being presented in unusual, inspirational ways – not only traditionally swinging in the model’s hand, but also hanging around the neck as a piece of jewellery; big enough to carry your iPad in or just the lipstick and mirror – wherever your preferences lie. No matter how you wear your clutch, it is designed to become that statement piece that makes your outfit and sets you apart, making others to admire to your sense of style.
The overall collection’s feel is minimalistic and simple, presenting a beautiful harmony of the title and the purport. From square cut night slips to perfectly cut blazers, all collection is permeated with a sense of light, brightness and purity, bereft of all things superfluous. “A fantastic handbag accessory can say more than the whole outfit and attract the attention you need”, says Lee the designer. His newest collection of men’s accessories and leisurewear is ready and due to be showcased during London Men’s Week in January.
