The traditional and much acclaimed masked Regency Ball will take place in the Pump Rooms, to celebrate Jane Austen Festival 2011.
The Jane Austen festival offers you many exciting opportunities to learn some Regency dancing, to master the art of making a Regency gown and Regency hairstyle. The Masked Regency Ball is a culmination point and a dream occasion to show off these skills and treat yourself to a wonderful evening back in time.
The evening schedule
7pm – Reception beside the Roman Baths
8pm- The Regency Ball commences in the Pump Rooms (Please note entrance to the Pump Rooms is not possible before 8pm)
Dress Code
Regency ball gown complete with glittering accessories or for the men your breeches, stockings and buckled shoes, plus of course a mask in the Venetian style.
Ticket price includes a reception drink and hot supper. Dancing lead by the expert tutor Diana Campbell accompanied by the superb quartet The Regency Belles.
