Handmade in Britain returns to the Chelsea Old Town Hall for the 6th year to begin the Christmas season. The show features more than 100 talented designer-makers from a range of disciplines as jewellery, ceramics, textiles, glass, furniture, metalwork and many more. Handmade in Britain 12 is a unique opportunity to purchase or commission beautiful handcrafted pieces while supporting British craftsmanship.
Below are some of exhibitors creating stunning jewellery:
Louise O’Neill
. Louise’s exquisite jewellery reflects a quiet and elegant aesthetic, with mostly one off pieces in matt high carat gold and
unusually cut gemstones. Using the traditional materials of the goldsmith sensitively and imaginatively, Louise creates Jewellery that is contemporary yet classic and can be worn comfortably and appropriately at all times.
Dot Sim . Dot’s Sculptural precious metal jewellery is inspired by her rural Scottish environment from changing landscapes, windswept beaches, and stormy seas, to the minutiae found in rock pools and the garden. She ‘draws’ with metal to capture movement and quality of line and the work is handmade using traditional gold and silversmithing techniques.
Josef Koppmann . Josef creates sculptural and geometric forms predominantly in pure 24ct gold and silver of striking dimensions, giving the work an individual and distinct feel. New elements, like faceted Tahitian pearls, join the vibrant selection of quartz, diamonds, bolder opals and other inspiring stones. Set in intense, bright gold, elevated above the smooth surfaces of the silver, each stone reveals an exciting interplay of light, structure and cut.
Sonia Cheadle . Sonia creates contemporary diamond Jewellery using 18ct white and yellow golds, Moonstones, black onyx and black diamonds.
Peter Noble . Refreshing original designs by Cornish designer jeweller Peter Noble, hand-working unusual and fine materials in 18ct gold and platinum, using natural coloured diamonds, fine gems, enamels and pearls.
